Reported by: Brandie Meng

More than 600 vehicles were up for auction at the 5th installment of "Motor Monday" at the Manheim Auto Auction in Dauphin County.

Thousands in the market for used cars found their gem at the auction. "I thought they would be in worse shape, but they are kept well," said Christopher of New York.  "Me being a first timer, I had a lot of questions but they are great.

Manheim Central Penn is hosting the auction, but the Pennsylvania Department of General Services is where the 600 vehicles up for bid came from. Some are no longer used by state agencies, others were seized by state law enforcement.

All sales at the auction are final and all vehicles are sold as is.

Nearly 40 were considered "front line vehicles" which means they all have appropriate titles and current Pennsylvania inspection. Vehicles up for grabs included SUV's, sedan pick-up trucks and about 40 motorcycles and ATV's.

Auction goers saw brands like Kawasaki, Suzuki, Ford, GMC, Jeep, Cadillac, Chevrolet and Subaru. Buyers purchased the vehicles with cash, certified checks or money orders and everyone was invited to come place a bid.

Sal Cuomo of Manheim Central Penn says they get all types of people and companies at the auctions.  "There's such a great variety that come,
businesses and cab companies, college students and businesses looking for PennDOT trucks."

All money made from the auction will be returned to the state.

If you couldn't make it out on Monday, there is still one more auto auction the public is invited to attend. That auction is scheduled for December 9th. 600 vehicles auctioned off at Motor Monday
