CARLISLE -- A Carlisle man is facing multiple charges after a drunk-driving accident on Dickinson College's campus this morning.

Marshall Myers, 25, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday after police were called to the first block of South College Street for reports of a loud noise.

Once there, police learned that Myers had driven onto the college's campus and had driven his car into a tree. He was round to be under the influence of alcohol. Police also learned that he had assaulted his girlfriend, an 18-year-old Carlisle woman, after a verbal argument.

Police took Myers to Carlisle Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. While at CRMC, he attempted to flee police custody.

Myers was charged with driving under the influence, simple assault, harassment, accident involving property, and attempting escape.Carlisle man charged after driving car into tree
