CD high school to take a 2nd look at face paint ban

Updated: Sunday, September 1 2013, 10:46 PM CDT
WEST HANOVER TOWNSHIP -- The Central Dauphin School District is taking a second-look at a new rule regarding banning face-paint and masks at sporting events.

A district spokesperson tells CBS 21 News that  principals will be meeting with students this week to talk about the new rule and whether it should stay.

On Friday, the district's website stated that students were not allowed to paint their faces or wear masks to show their support for their teams at Central Dauphin games.

Then, just before the game, that post was taken down. Students say the rule is ridiculous, and even some parents agree.

Despite the rule, at Friday's football game, students painted their faces and much more. But a school district spokesperson says it wasn't an issue, because their faces weren't obstructed and that staff could identify them.CD high school to take a 2nd look at face paint ban
