The FBI is now helping Pennsylvania State Police investigate a homicide on Interstate 81 in Antrim Township, Franklin County.  The incident happened around 2.m. on Saturday near mile marker 3.

State Police say 28-year-old Timothy Davison of Poland, Maine called 911 saying the driver of a Ford ranger style pickup truck was chasing him.  The driver then ran into Davison's car and caused him to spin into the median. The suspect then approached Davison and fired several shots at him.  Davison was taken to York Hospital, where he later died.

State Police say to this point in the investigation, this incident appears to be a random act.  They have not found anything yet that would lead investigators to believe the victim and the suspect knew each other.

Police say Davison was driving back to Maine after visiting family in Florida.

An autopsy on the victim is scheduled for Monday January 6th.

State Police believe the suspect's vehicle to be a smaller type pickup truck, possibly a Ford Ranger.  The suspects truck should have some driver side damage to its door or front quarter panel.  The victims vehicle is silver, so the suspects vehicle might have silver paint transfer on its driver side from when the suspect rammed the victims car.

State Police are asking anyone who has any information; even if you think it is a minor, to please call the Chambersburg Barracks at 717-264-5161.  Theyre also asking any collision/auto body shops to contact us if a vehicle matching the description of the suspects vehicle is brought to them.FBI, State Police investigate homicide on I-81
