UPDATED: 7:00 A.M.

We now know the name of the man shot. He is 21-year-old Jordan T. Breeland. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for today at noon. We will update you with more information as we have it.

UPDATED: 6:07 A.M.

Officials say the victim shot around 10:30 last night is a York man in his early 20s. He was found in an SUV in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Thomas Street.

But police believe the man was shot somewhere else, and then driven to that area. Officers tried to save him.

The Chief Deputy Coroner says, "When police arrived, they actually removed him from the vehicle, began doing CPR on him until the ambulance arrived. They determined he had no signs of life and efforts were ceased at that point."

He adds there was a second victim who survived, but there's no word on that person's condition at that time.

The SUV was towed from the scene, and has visible gun shot damage.

There were multiple reports of shots fired in the city. Dispatchers say officers took some people into custody, but police are not confirming any information at this time.

An autopsy on the victim is scheduled for noon Wednesday -- stay with us for updates.

York -- York City Police have had a busy evening, and much of their work is just beginning.

Around 7:15 p.m., there was a reported shooting in the 100 block of Lincoln Street.  Police learned minutes later that the victim was shot in the foot and was taken to the hospital in a black Lexus.

Then around 10:40 p.m., there was another report of shots fired on West Gas Street.  No victims were found at that location.

However, at least one person was found dead near the intersection of Jefferson Street and Cottage Hill Road at the scene of another incident.
