GETTYSBURG -- A Maryland based Ku Klux Klan group was suppose to rally at the Gettysburg National Military Park, but the government shutdown, shut them down.

So they got a permit to stand near the Gettysburg borough hall building and speak their minds.

"Barack Hussein Obama get out of my country and don't come back! White power!" Yelled one KKK member.

Across the street, a small group preached peace and acceptance.
Charles Weise was one of them, he has mixed race children.

"They don't need to see this, they live in a different world and live ordinary lives, they don't need to see this crap," said Charles Weise, protesting KKK.

Having had enough, Charles walked across the street and confronted a KKK supported James Horting.

"You're really not welcome here," said Charles.

"Well you're not welcome here either!" Yelled James Horting. "I'll go where I want not where you tell me or anything else so fly a kite, act like a little girl and go."

Charles said he just wanted to have a conversation with James.

"I'm white and I believe in whites being with whites, not this other stuff." Said James.

"I believe in America that's diverse that has people from all different races, religions. This is a throwback to a time that I had hoped would've been far gone." Said Charles.

The rally lasted a few hours and the KKK group says they plan on doing this once a month until President Obama is out of office.
