LANCASTER COUNTY -- Police in Lancaster County arrested a man in connection to several robberies in recent weeks and one gas station clerk finally feels at peace.

Arieset Galarza-Ruiz, 29, was taken into custody for several robberies in the New Holland area ranging from October 2nd through December 17th. He was arrested at a home he was staying at along the 700 block of North Franklin Street.

Detectives from Lancaster City Police and Manheim Township Police partnered in the investigation. They focused on the robberies including one at a home along the 700 block of New Holland Avenue.

Investigators believe Galarza-Ruiz was involved in two more separate incidents at a Turkey Hill on North Plum Street and J&K Supermarket on New Holland Avenue.

The most recent robbery occurred at Sunoco along the 700 block of New Holland Avenue on December 17th.

A gas station clerk said she was behind the counter when a man held her at gun point and demanded money.

"'Open, open, open! Be quick hurry up," the woman recalled of what the masked man said to her as he took off with money.

The clerk, who identified herself as Neetu, said she feels at peace tonight knowing Galarza-Ruiz is behind bars.

"Everyone is happy to know he confessed a crime and in prison now," she said.

Galarza-Ruiz is in Lancaster County Prison on a $600,000 bail. He faces several charges including burglary, robbery, and criminal conspiracy to commit robbery.
