Middletown man arrested on charges from Harrisburg

MIDDLETOWN -- An man wanted by Harrisburg police on charges stemming from a robbery in that city was apprehended by Middletown Borough Police and the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in Middletown on Feb. 21. Two other people also were arrested during the search.

Brandon Santana-Pittman, 22, of the 100 block of Fisher Avenue, Middletown, was apprehended at his residence after Middletown Borough Police obtained a search warrant for that location based on information received from the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.   

During the search, another person at the residence allegedly attempted to interfere with police and attempted to hinder Santana-Pittman's, while a third person in the premises was found to be wanted on drug charges also from Harrisburg police.

Tatiyana F. Laws, 22, of the 100 block of Fisher Avenue, Middletown, was charged with resisting arrest, hindering apprehension or prosecution, and disorderly conduct as the result of her involvement in the incident.   

Teraje Jhere Smith, 19, of the 200 block of Miller Street, Chambersburg, was charged with flight to avoid apprehension and providing false identification to law enforcement, after he alleged lied to police and provided false information regarding his identity in order to escape arrest on an outstanding warrant from Harrisburg police.

Santana-Pittman was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals and transported to Harrisburg for processing and arraignment. Laws and Smith were transported by police to the Dauphin County Judicial Center for processing and arraignment on the charges. They face a preliminary hearing in the matter at a later date.Middletown man arrested on charges from Harrisburg
