CBS 21 News has confirmed that Connor Marsico, the son of Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico, has been expelled from Millersville University.

Marsico, as well as Kenneth Brown, both were expelled as of February 12.  They had previously been suspended from the football team.

The Attorney General's office is currently handling the case against Marsico, who is expected to have a preliminary hearing Wednesday in Carlisle.

CBS 21 News has confirmed the son of the Dauphin County District Attorney is facing charges after police say he and a friend beat another man.

State Police say around 1:30 Saturday morning Kenneth Brown, 18 of Ardmore, and Connor Marsico, 18 of Harrisburg, who is the son of DA Ed Marsico, attacked Christopher Erikson, 21 of Mifflinburg.

It allegedly happened at the intersection of North Earl Street and Lancaster Drive in Shippensburg Township, Cumberland County.

State Police tell us Erikson was walking down the street, when both teenagers came up to him.

Brown is accused of hitting Erikson in the face and Marsico is accused of kicking him.

Then, Brown allegedly took Erikson's wallet and phone.

We're told Erikson was treated at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

At this time, his condition is unknown.

Brown and Marsico, who are both listed on the roster for the Millersville Marauder football team, are facing several charges.

Brown has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, theft, conspiracy, criminal mischief and harassment.

Marsico was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, conspiracy and harassment.

District Attorney Ed Marsico's family released this statement:
“We are shocked by the events that have been reported regarding some college students, which unfortunately included our son. It deeply saddens us to learn that someone was hurt.  Our son has and will cooperate with authorities, and our role as parents is to continue to encourage him to do so.  We expect this to be addressed as a matter of course within the criminal justice system and hope the personal aspects of this difficult situation remain a private family matter.”Millersville has expelled DA's son for assault that occurred in Shippensburg
