LANCASTER -- The search for a boy accused of shooting his teenage girlfriend in the head continued Thursday night.

Lancaster Police issued a warrant for the arrest of 16-year-old Manuel Ortiz Jr., who goes by the nickname "Chucky."

Police said Ortiz shot the girl in the head then fled the scene on Wednesday night, leaving behind 51 bags of heroin. Police said it happened inside a home along West Fulton Street.

As of late Thursday night, the girlfriend, whom CBS 21 is not identifying because of her age, was in "good" condition, according to a spokeswoman at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Charges filed against Ortiz include possession of a firearm, which is illegal in the state by anybody under the age of 18, as well as intent to deliver heroin. Charging documents state officials intend to try him as an adult.

Ortiz has an online following, including on YouTube. The aspiring rap musician posted several videos of songs purported to be sung and produced by him and on another social networking site, he solicited his work, asking online users to book him for features.

Neighbors near the scene a day after the incident were too distraught to speak with CBS 21 News. The home where the girl was shot had a note on the door asking for respect of their privacy.
