WEST YORK -- On Sunday evening just before 10:30 p.m., West York Police were called to a report of shots fired from one vehicle at another in the area of the 1100 block of West Princess Street in West York.

Both vehicles were then observed going at a high speed east from Richland Avenue toward Hoke Street, along West Princess Street.

On Monday, West York Police spoke to two victims who said they were driving through York City the night before when two vehicles began chasing them.

The vehicles attempted to box in the victims’ vehicle at the intersection of South Richland and College Avenues.  However, the victims were able to maneuver around it and kept going.  Then the suspects continued following the vehicle and began shooting at the victims.

West York Borough Police were able to identify one of the suspects as Anthony Real, 21 of York, who was the passenger firing the gun.

Around 9:30 p.m., West York Police, assisted by York City Police, executed a search warrant at Real’s location and took him into custody.

He was charged with four counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless endangerment.  Bail was set at $40,000.

West York Police are still actively trying to find the driver of the SUV, who is described as a Hispanic male in his mid to late 30’s who may have also been firing a handgun.

West York Police ask that anyone with information concerning the crime call 717-854-1975.
