State Police have released some updated information in reference to the I-81 homicide of Timothy Davison, on January 4th.

Davison was shot and killed after he was ran off the road near mile marker 3 in Antrim Township, Franklin County.

“After extensive examination into the paint transfer evidence that was obtained from the victim’s vehicle, we are focusing our efforts on locating a 1993-1997 Dark Lapis blue (may also appear black depending on the lighting) Ford Ranger pick-up truck that would likely have sustained damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle,” said Lt. Adam Kosheba, Commander, Criminal Investigation Section, Troop H, Harrisburg.

Police say you should keep in mind that the investigation is approaching two months, so the truck may have been repaired. They are encouraging repair shops and insurance agents to be vigilant in assessing past, present, and future claims of vehicle damage to similar vehicles.

If any one believes that they may have repaired or authorized such repairs to such a vehicle call the PA Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-4PA-TIPS.

Police are confident that the suspect vehicle and the driver were observed by motorists on I-81 between Martinsburg, WV and Interstate 70 in Maryland.

“Additionally, we are asking that anyone who may be related to or know someone who drives such a vehicle and had or has displayed unusual behavior around the time of this incident also contact our tip line,” said Kosheba.

If you have information on this crime or the person wanted for committing this crime please call Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers Toll Free at 1-800-4PA-TIPS. All callers remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward up to $10,000.

In addition to the Crime Stoppers reward, Davison's family is offering an additional $10,000 for information.

The Pennsylvania State Police strongly believes that someone in the tri-state area has information that they may feel insignificant, however they want to hear it to explore every possible bit of information. State Police release information on I-81 homicide
