Teen injured in Lancaster city stabbing Tuesday

LANCASTER -- City police are investigating a stabbing in the 700 block of Manor Street. The incident started with a fight in progress and escalated to a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found a large group of people and a victim who appeared to have been stabbed. EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of a stab wound to the chest.

The victim was later identified as an 18-year-old Lancaster resident. He underwent surgery for his injuries. 

Investigators responded to the scene and began gathering information from witnesses. Investigators have been interviewing witnesses and subjects who had been involved in the disturbance/stabbing. They also interviewed two subjects who were brought into the police station for questioning.

Investigators also processed the crime scene for possible evidence. Interviews are on-going and investigators are attempting to locate additional witnesses.
