YORK -- Vandals hit a York County development overnight Monday.
Police say a group of three or four teens was driving around the Randolph Park neighborhood in the Tri-Hill area around midnight.

According to a police report, the teens were throwing pieces of cinder blocks through car windows.

Spring Garden Township Police say Hillcrest Road and Edgehill Drive were the hardest hit.

One Hillcrest Road resident told us he was woken up by police around 12:30 Monday morning and told his truck had been damaged. The vandals had smashed one of the back windows of his pick-up truck.

"It's just so stupid," he told CBS 21. "This is a nice neighborhood and we have to deal with this!" The man was in the process of putting plastic over the busted window.

Other neighbors tell us there have recently been a number of cases of petty theft in the area. They say some neighbors have complained about someone entering their cars at night and taking spare change and small items.

The teens were reportedly driving a boxy, maroon SUV. It could possibly be an older model Jeep Cherokee.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 843-0851 or Crime Stoppers at 717-755-TIPS.Teen vandals strike York County neighborhood, smash car windows
