Toddler killed in two-vehicle crash in Antrim Township

GREENCASTLE -- Police have confirmed a toddler is dead after a two-vehicle accident in Antrim Township, Franklin County.

The accident happened around 6:23 p.m. on Wingerton Road near its intersection with Hollowell Church Road. 

Lucille Martin was traveling south on Hollowell Road. Randy Barnhart failed to come to a stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection of Hollowell and Wingerton and struck the driver's side front quarter panel of Martin’s car.

Barnhart's vehicle came to a rest on the west shoulder of Hollowell Road and he suffered no injuries.

Martin was taken to Meritus for moderate injuries. A 2-year-old in a car seat that was improperly fixed to the car was pronounced dead at Meritus Hospital, Hagerstown.

A 6-year-old girl sitting in the second row next to the 2-year-old girl at the time of the crash was transported to Meritus for moderate abdominal injuries.Toddler killed in two-vehicle crash in Antrim Township
