UPDATE: Armed robbery at Aroogas

East Pennsboro Township Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Arooga's on the Camp Hill Bypass.

The robbery happened around 2:40 Saturday morning after the restaurant closed.  Police say two males got in through a back door and confronted about 10 costumers and staff.  They both had handguns. 

The two suspects took everyone into the dining room and demanded cash, jewelry, and cell phones.  They took one employee into the restaurant office and demanded the restaurant funds.  Then they fled in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported.  The robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, several cell phones, and some jewelery.

Police are interested in identifying the owner of a red Ford pickup truck that was seen leaving the restaurant during the time of this robbery. The pickup truck was described as a possible late 2000’s Ford, bright red in color, with a full size red truck bed cap.

The first suspect is described as a black male, heavy set, over 6’ tall, wearing a blue in color heavy winter jacket.   He also was wearing a full face mask and was armed with a handgun.  The second suspect is described as a white male, slender build, 5’10” to 6’ tall, wearing a khaki colored hooded jacket.  He was wearing a full face mask and he was armed with a handgun.

Police are reviewing surveillance tapes.
