Woman dresses as man, robs Turkey Hill

A man and woman have been arrested in connection with recent convenience store robberies in Ephrata and Manheim Township, Lancaster County.

The first robbery happened on October 15th at the Hess Express on the Oregon Pike in Manheim Township. The second robbery happened on Thursday night at the Turkey Hill on Rothsville Road in Ephrata.

The two police departments collaborated and identified Laura A. Sousa, 26, of Warwick Township and James E. Oreilly, 28, of Penn Township, as the suspects.

Sousa faces charges of robbery, conspiracy and theft. Police say she disguised herself as a man to commit the robberies.

Police say Oreily was the co-conspirator in the robberies and the getaway driver. He is charged with robbery, conspiracy, and theft.

Both suspects were taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $150,000.00 bail each.

A weapon was recovered and was determined to be a pellet gun. No one was injured as a result of these crimes.Woman dresses as man, robs Turkey Hill
