Buerger wins 500 free, but LaSalle boys claim PIAA title

LEWISBURG -- La Salle College High School won its second-straight Class AAA boys' title at the PIAA Swimming Championships at Bucknell University.

La Salle College finished with 280 points, ahead of North Allegheny (202), Upper St. Clair (192.5) and Hershey (152).

Zach Buerger of North Allegheny won his second-straight 500 freestyle with a time of 4:22.75.

Upper St. Clair captured the 400 freestyle relay, rallying to beat LaSalle College at 3:03.04.
