CAMP HILL --  Former NFL tight end Kyle Brady was back at his old high school providing a life lesson to some very interested young men.

Brady, a first-round pick by the New York Jets in 1995, spoke to students at Cedar Cliff High School as part of the Be a REAL Man program, developed by Mike Cox, who's played five seasons in the NFL.

Brady, the Gatorade Pennsylvania Player of the Year at Cedar Cliff before starring at Penn State, was eager to share what he's learned from leaders whom influenced him.

"I have had some great leaders over the course of my NFL career," said Brady. "Joe Paterno; Bill Parcells; Bill Belichick; Tom Coughlin.

"They taught  me a lot of very important, not just football, but life lessons.  Things that I'll take with me for the rest my life. I just want to pass some of those lessons on to these guys.  "

The REAL in Cox's program stands for "Rejecting passivity; Expecting a greater reward;
Accepting responsibility; and Leading courageously." Cox is a graduate of Red Land High School, another school in the West Shore School District where the program is offered.

Cox says finding speakers has not been difficult.

"I have plenty of teammates that I  always keep in mind -- someone that would be good role model to talk to the kids," he said. "(Ones) that have a passion talking to high school(-aged) boys; so actually, its not too hard."
